Welcome to Invisible Threads, the officially archived fanlisting dedicated to the character of Inspector Runge from the manga and anime series Monster by Naoki Urasawa. If you're wondering just what this is all about, a fanlisting is nothing more than a digital compendium of fans from all around the world, united and listed on one site in proclamation of their fandom for a particular thing.

About Inspector Runge: To put it plainly, Runge is what you would call a workaholic. Dedicated endlessly to his job as a police investigator for the BKA, he has a storied and infamous method of collecting and remembering information by "typing" it with his fingers and storing it into the "computer in his brain". He has neglected happiness, leisure, even his wife and daughter, for his job. But it is a notoriously botched case over a government official that destroys his respectable career and finally pushes him over the boundaries into obsession over the case of Kenzo Tenma...the one case he could never solve.

He makes it his mission to get to the bottom of Tenma's case, convinced of the man's guilt, even in the face of testimonies and evidence to the contrary. Throughout the series it is a game of cat and mouse between Runge and Tenma.

The title of the fanlisting comes from a line spoken by Runge in the very last chapter of the manga. The line struck me as very poignant, and so became the title of this FL.
